TERMS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION – PREMIUM ELECTRIC WEEKEND EXPERIENCE

1.PREAMBLE

1.1. The company with the trade name “ALPAN GROUP LTD (CY10090632A)”, based at P.O.BOX 28166, 2091 NICOSIA / AEOLOU 8, 2540 DALI INDUSTRIAL AREA, NICOSIA, CYPRUS, in cooperation with the company with the trade name “A. IMAGINE PR LIMITED”, based in Nicosia with Tax ID 999230371, (hereinafter referred to as the “Advertising Company”), as part of promoting the product with the trademark “BYD”, announces a competition with the indicative name “BYD DREAM DAYS PREMIUM ELECTRIC WEEKEND EXPERIENCE” (hereinafter the “Competition”), which will be held within the BYD showrooms in Nicosia and Limassol. The date and place of the draw are as follows: Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the offices of the BYD SHOWROOM NICOSIA on 28th October Avenue, 18 Egkomi 2402.

1.2. The purpose of the Competition is to select, in accordance with the provisions of these Terms of Participation, a total of one (1) winner, who will win a test drive with a BYD car specified by the Organiser for one weekend and one (1) overnight stay for two people at Pendeli Resort in Platres (hereinafter referred to as “the Prize” or “the Prizes”).

1.3. Participation in the Competition implies the full and unconditional acceptance of its terms by the participants, as described herein.

 

2. PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION

2.1. Only permanent residents of Cyprus who have reached the age of 20 and hold a valid car driving license, issued at least two years prior and covering the category of the vehicle to be tested, (hereinafter referred to as the “Participants”) may take part in the Competition. Otherwise, their participation in the Competition will be automatically and immediately cancelled.

2.2. Employees of the Organiser and the Advertising Company, as well as their spouses and relatives up to the second degree, are not entitled to participate in the Competition.

2.3. Participation in the Competition requires interested parties to visit the BYD showrooms where the competition will be held and to conduct a test drive during the two-day DREAM DAYS Event on November 7 & 8, 2025.

2.4. Participants expressly declare that the information they provide is valid, complete, true, and accurate, and upon submitting their participation form, they accept the processing of their personal data through their explicit consent. The management of the data submitted by the Participants for their participation in the Competition is governed by the personal data protection terms, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

 

3. DURATION

The duration of the Competition is defined as the period from November 7, 2025, at 9:00 (hereinafter the “Start of the Competition”) until November 8, 2025, at 15:00 (hereinafter the “End of the Competition”).

 

4. PARTICIPATION PROCEDURE

Without prejudice to the provisions of terms 2, 3, and 6 herein, during the period from November 7, 2025, at 9:00 (hereinafter the “Start of the Competition”) until November 8, 2025, at 15:00 (hereinafter the “End of the Competition”), anyone who meets the conditions of term 2.1 above can participate in the Competition by completing and signing a participation form. Specifically, each participant must fill in their personal information (Name, Surname, Telephone, e-mail) on the participation form, state that they hold a valid car driving license, and subsequently state that they have acknowledged and accepted the Terms of Participation of the Competition.

 

5. WINNER SELECTION PROCEDURE

5.1. One (1) winner of the Competition will be selected after a draw held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the BYD Nicosia Showroom by the Advertising Company in the presence of an authorised representative. The draw will also select two (2) runners-up. They will be asked to answer a question posed by BYD. The winner will be the one who provides the correct answer the fastest.

A “valid participation” for the purposes of the draw means any participation in the Competition that cumulatively meets the following criteria: (a) it meets the participation requirements as stated in term 2.1 above, (b) it has been submitted according to the procedure described in term 4 above, and (c) it is not the product of illegal technical influence by the Participant on the Competition systems or/and general fraud or/and unfair interference by the Participant or a third party. After the completion of the Competition, a relevant publication will be posted on the official BYD Cyprus accounts.

 

6. INVALIDITY

6.1. Any winner, at any stage of the process, may be disqualified for any of the following reasons: A. If the winner(s) is under 20 years of age or is not a permanent resident of Cyprus or does not hold a valid car driving license that covers the category of the vehicle to be tested for at least 2 years. B. If the winner does not respond positively to the telephone call within the deadline of paragraph 7.1 below or/and cannot be located, according to paragraph 7.2 below. C. If, for any reason, the winner fails to make the required declaration of acceptance of the prize. D. At the absolute discretion of the Organiser, at any time, even without prior notice, if it is deemed that a Participant’s entry violates the law or/and is made in bad faith or abusively or/and contrary to good faith or/and commercial ethics, Cypriot legislation, or is made in a manner that contradicts the letter and spirit of the Competition, or circumvents or/and attempts to circumvent any of its terms.

6.2. In any of the above cases, the Organiser may cancel the respective participation at any stage of the Competition. In the event of the winner’s invalidity, the first alternate will be selected.

 

7. CONTACT WITH THE WINNERS

7.1. The Advertising Company will contact the runners-up by telephone and email within three (3) working days from the date of the draw, to ask the questions and select the winner. Upon the selection of the winner, and provided they explicitly accept the Prize, they must simultaneously send their full details (full name, email address, contact telephone numbers, etc.) and their valid car driving license.

7.2. If it is impossible to contact the initially drawn winner within three (3) working days from the date of the draw, or if they do not accept the prize, the winner loses their right and the Organiser reserves the right to award the prize to the Alternate Winner.

7.3. If it is impossible to contact either the winner or the alternate winner, the Organiser reserves the right to either cancel the awarding of the Prize or to proceed with any other action at its absolute discretion (e.g., selection of a 2nd alternate).

7.4. The Organiser or/and the Advertising Company bear no responsibility for any unsuccessful attempts to notify the winners or/and the runners-up—as the case may be—due to the latter not receiving the above message in their personal account or/and not becoming aware of the content of the message due to not reading it, as well as for any non-sending (or/and non-receipt) for any reason to the Organiser of the aforementioned reply message accepting the Prize by the winners or/and for any other cause.

 

8. PRIZE

One (1) winner will receive a test drive with a vehicle designated by the Organiser, taking into account any preference of the winner, otherwise, another option will be provided, for one weekend and one (1) overnight stay for two (2) people at the Pendeli Resort hotel in Platres. The prize is specific and includes accommodation with breakfast in a Superior Scenic View room and is subject to availability (excluding festive periods) upon arrangement with the hotel.

The prize is personal, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for money or other goods. The prize must be redeemed by 27/10/2026. The remaining terms will be agreed upon between the Organising company and the winners after the acceptance of the prize.

 

9. OBLIGATIONS OF WINNERS – DRIVERS

The winner selected through the above procedure will sign an agreement with the Organiser regarding the terms and conditions of the test drive, which will be binding on both parties during the test drive period.

“A. IMAGINE PR LIMITED” bears no responsibility from the time of the winner’s selection onwards, as it has no involvement regarding the delivery of the vehicle and the other obligations and rights concerning the Organiser and the winners that relate to the time after the delivery of the vehicle and during the test drive.

 

10. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

ALPAN GROUP LTD, Official Distributor of BYD cars in Cyprus, is committed to the protection of your personal data. This privacy policy informs you about how ALPAN GROUP LTD – BYD CYPRUS processes your personal data during your participation in the Competition.

Who processes your personal data: The data controller of your personal data is ALPAN GROUP LTD (the Organiser). Contact details for the data controller can be found below in the “Contact” section. The Organiser will use the services of the company “A. IMAGINE PR LIMITED”, which will conduct the Competition on behalf of the Organiser (“Technical Contractor”), as further described in the section “Publication of your information.”

What personal data of yours we process and for what purpose: Upon submission of each participant’s entry, the data processed is the name, surname, telephone number, and email address. By submitting their entry, each participant knows and accepts that their data, as described above, will be processed by the Organiser in order for the individual to be included among the valid entries for the draw. The participant’s data will be used for their announcement as the winner (full name, email address) and for further communication with them for the receipt of the prize. The necessary contact details (as defined in the Competition terms) will also be used for this communication. The Organiser has and retains the right to request an identification document from the winner for the receipt of the prize, as well as the presentation of a valid driving license. In addition, in the context of the Competition, we will process messages we receive from you on our communication channels or/and that you have sent us via email or/and questions you have addressed to us by phone, in order to respond to your request/query regarding the Competition. If you have contacted us by phone, we will use your phone number to call you back (if necessary) and answer your question. Technical information (e.g., IP address) may also be processed data.

What is the legal basis for processing personal data: By submitting their participation in the Competition, participants give their consent to the processing of their personal data, as described above. Participants may withdraw their consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of the data processing that took place before the withdrawal. The Organiser also has a legitimate interest in processing additional data (identity confirmation document) to confirm the winner’s identity and to process contact data to communicate with them for the receipt of the prize or/and to provide further information – clarifications – answers to submitted questions. In the case of legitimate interest, any overriding fundamental right or/and freedom of the data subject will be taken into account. Furthermore, in some cases, there may be a legitimate interest or/and legal obligation for the processing of Participants’ personal data in order for the Organiser to: Prevent, detect, and investigate cases of fraud, abuse or/and other illegal activities and potential violations of the Competition Terms, in accordance with the law and best practices. If false or/and inaccurate information is provided and fraud is detected or/and suspected, details may be forwarded to fraud prevention services and other organisations and may be recorded by us or/and by them. Also, data processing may occur in the context of the exercise of the Organiser’s legal rights and compliance with its legal obligation, such as, for example, to respond to inquiries from public or/and administrative Authorities, including but not limited to, courts, police authorities, regulatory authorities, etc., which may legally have access to your personal data.

Publication of your information: ALPAN GROUP LTD will use the services of the company “A. IMAGINE PR LIMITED”, which will conduct the Competition on behalf of the Organiser and which has undertaken the technical implementation of the project and the execution of the promotional action on behalf of the Organiser. We will ensure that the Technical Contractor enters into contractual commitments regarding the personal data we share with them in accordance with our instructions, this Privacy Policy, and all applicable personal data protection laws. If legally requested, we are obliged to disclose personal data to police authorities or/and third parties in relation to inquiries for information to investigate crimes or/and illegal activities. We may also share your personal data with affiliated companies of ALPAN GROUP LTD or with third-party service providers (such as marketing, IT providers) who may process them on our behalf for any of the aforementioned purposes.

How long your personal data is stored: The personal data we hold about you will not remain for a period longer than permitted by applicable law and will only be retained for as long as is necessary, according to the intended purpose, as defined above, and in any case no longer than 6 months after the end of the Competition.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”): Your personal data may be transferred outside the EEA or/and may be accessed outside the EEA for the purposes of the Competition. In the event that we transfer data to (or/and allow access to data from) countries outside the EEA, we will ensure that your rights and freedoms regarding the processing of your personal data are adequately and duly protected. To the extent that it is our obligation, we will ensure that all transfers of personal data outside the EEA are made on a valid legal basis. This may include, for example, contractual clauses approved by the European Union Commission or/and binding corporate rules, permitted by applicable legal requirements.

What we do to protect your personal data: We will take all necessary steps to ensure that your personal data is treated securely and in accordance with our Corporate Personal Data Protection Policy. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal data transmitted to our websites. Any transmission of your personal data is done solely with your consent. Once we receive your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent any unauthorised access.

What happens to links to other websites: Our websites and social media fan pages may occasionally contain links to and from the websites of our partners, affiliated companies, and other third parties. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we assume no responsibility or/and liability whatsoever for these policies. Your rights and contacting us. Information Update: We will make reasonable efforts to ensure that your personal data is accurate. To help us with this, you should inform us of any changes to the personal data you provided us with by contacting us using the details provided in the “Contact” section below.

Your rights: As subjects of your personal data, you may, under certain conditions, have the right to ask us for: A. Providing more details about how your personal data is used and processed, B. Providing a copy of the personal data we hold about you, C. Correction of any inaccuracies in your personal data and the completion of any incomplete personal data we process about you, D. Deletion of your personal data that we no longer have a reason to process, and E. Restriction of the way we process your personal data while we are examining a question you have posed.

In addition, under certain conditions, you have the right to: A. Ask us to transmit the personal data you gave us and that we still hold about you, to a third party electronically. B. Object to any processing of your personal data that we process for reasons of “legitimate interests” or “public interests,” unless our reasons for the underlying processing outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms, and C. Object to direct marketing (including any profiling for such purposes) at any time.

These rights are subject to certain exceptions to protect the public interest (e.g., prevention or detection of criminal acts) and our interests (e.g., retention of legal privilege). 11. OTHER TERMS

11.1. The Organiser reserves the right to modify or/and revoke the Competition or/and to change the dates of its execution or/and any other term of the Competition, including without any limitation the method of conducting the Competition. These changes will be announced to the public via the BYD Website: https://bydauto.com.cy/diagwnismoi/, with the effective date of the said modification or/and revocation or/and change of execution dates, etc., being the date of the relevant notification. The Organiser may also interrupt or/and cancel the Competition without notice for reasons of force majeure or/and for any reason at its absolute discretion. In these cases, as well as in the event that the EVENT does not take place for any reason or/and cause, the Organiser or/and the Advertising Company bear no responsibility towards the Participants or/and any third party. Furthermore, in case of cancellation of the Competition, the Participants do not acquire any right, claim or/and demand against the Organiser or/and the Advertising Company, nor are they legitimized or entitled to request the continuation of the Competition or/and any compensation due to any change or/and cancellation. The Organiser also bears no responsibility or commitment for the implementation of the ideas proposed in the Competition.

11.2. Participants do not have nor acquire any right whatsoever over the trademarks, names, indications, emblems, and other distinctive marks of the Organiser or/and the Advertising Company.

11.3. Participation in the Competition implies the express and unconditional acceptance of all the terms and conditions provided herein and entails the waiver by the Participants of any related claim, demand, and right of financial or/and other nature, against the Organiser and the Advertising Company.

11.5. These terms are governed by and supplemented by Cypriot law, and any dispute related to the Competition shall be resolved by the competent Courts of Cyprus.
