In Hall 1, within a specially designed 525 m² space featuring high aesthetics and modern design, visitors can explore and learn about BYD models already available in the Greek market, the plug-in hybrid technology adopted by the SEAL U DM-i, as well as three unique models being presented for the first time in Greece!
BYD SEAL U DM-i
Combining all the advantages of electric mobility, the SEAL U DM-i is fast, powerful, and efficient. This trio of benefits is achieved through BYD’s Super DM technology, a groundbreaking advancement in plug-in hybrid technology. Developed exclusively by BYD, it offers a host of advantages, including energy efficiency, low fuel consumption, excellent performance, and comfort. The SEAL U DM-i is available in the following variants:
- Boost with a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine and electric motor (combined power of 218 PS), with front-wheel drive.
- Design with a 1.5-liter turbocharged internal combustion engine and two electric motors (combined power of 324 PS), with all-wheel drive.
YANGWANG U8
The U8 is the first production vehicle from the YANGWANG brand. It is a luxury plug-in hybrid off-road vehicle, equipped with numerous unique technologies. With nearly 1,200 horsepower, it achieves a 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.6 seconds. The U8 features innovative safety functions such as Stability Control in the event of a sudden tire failure, vehicle rotation around its axis, and the ability to “crawl” for a specific period.
YANGWANG U9
Incorporating BYD’s technological innovations and showcasing the company’s vision for the future of electric supercars, the U9 redefines the driving experience. It is equipped with two core technologies: the e4 platform and the DiSus-X Intelligent Body Control System. These technologies ensure that the U9 delivers top-tier track performance, comfort for daily driving, and “playful” characteristics. With four electric motors, the U9 produces over 1,300 PS and explosive performance, including a 0-100 km/h time of just 2.36 seconds.
FANGCHENGBAO BAO 5
The BAO 5 is positioned in the market as a super hybrid off-road SUV and is equipped with advanced technologies such as the DMO platform and the Hydraulic Body Control System “DiSus-P.” Its design harmoniously blends high aesthetics with dynamic on- and off-road performance, offering unparalleled comfort and safety for users. The plug-in hybrid powertrain delivers a total output of 681 horsepower, while the all-wheel drive system features a differential lock function.
BYD DOLPHIN
The most youthful and fun car in BYD’s extensive range! It features modern colors, a dynamic personality, 5-star safety, a rich equipment list, and a price of €19,998 (including the benefit of the government subsidy “Kinoúmai Ilektriká 3”) – the same price as a conventionally powered or hybrid vehicle! Inside, it offers space for all passengers along with their luggage, while the 204 horsepower of the electric motor promises engaging drives. The cutting-edge “Blade Battery” provides a range of 427 kilometers, covering daily commuting needs as well as trips outside the city.
BYD ATTO 3
A spacious front-wheel drive C-SUV that combines modern aesthetics with efficiency, a result of the company’s pioneering technology used in its electric vehicles. The ATTO 3 is designed with the preferences of European buyers in mind, presenting a sleek and attractive choice with rich standard equipment and top-tier connectivity. The 60.48 kWh Blade Battery, which does not use cobalt (instead, Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) is used for the cathode material), offers a range of 420 km (WLTP). Priced at €26,525 (including the benefit of the “Kinoúmai Ilektriká 3” subsidy and the Electric bonus), this vehicle is an unbeatable option!
BYD SEAL
The impressive SEAL is a sporty and dynamic D-segment sedan that uses BYD’s new “Ocean Aesthetics” design identity. It combines a sleek and athletic appearance with a high level of comfort and practicality for five passengers, while offering several technological firsts, providing numerous benefits that clearly distinguish it from the competition. It is available in two versions: the Design (front-wheel drive, 313 PS) and the Excellence (four-wheel drive, 530 PS), both with an 82.5 kWh battery option. The price for the Design version is €36,990 (including the benefit of the “Kinoúmai Ilektriká 3” subsidy).
BYD SEAL U
The versatile D-segment SUV, with the letter “U” in its name referring to “Utility,” is the ultimate family car, offering a spacious and practical passenger cabin combined with sleek aesthetics, luxury, and top-tier standard equipment. Additionally, the SEAL U features advanced technology in terms of safety, connectivity, and passenger well-being inside. Its range extends up to 500 kilometers (WLTP), ensuring longer journeys on a single charge! The SEAL U is available with an electric motor producing 218 PS in the Comfort (71.8 kWh battery, price: €34,500) and Design (87 kWh battery, price: €37,990) versions – the prices include the benefit of the government subsidy “Kinemai Ilektrika 3.”
All Models Come with a Multi-Year Warranty
All BYD models come standard with a comprehensive 6-year/150,000 km manufacturer’s warranty, an 8-year/200,000 km warranty for the battery, and an 8-year/150,000 km warranty for the electric motor.
BYD’s Blade Battery Technology
All BYD passenger vehicles offered in Europe feature the unique, cobalt-free Blade Battery technology, developed by the company primarily to optimize safety, durability, longevity, performance, and space utilization. The battery consists of numerous thin, elongated cells that resemble blades. Moreover, it uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) as a cathode material to enhance safety, durability, and thermal stability. The exceptional safety level of the Blade Battery is evidenced by its ability to exceed the requirements of the “Nail Penetration Test” testing procedure.
BYD e-Platform 3.0
The BYD e-Platform 3.0 is designed to deliver exceptional advantages in terms of safety, efficiency, aesthetics, and performance. Key features include the Blade Battery, the world’s first mass-produced “8-in-1” electric powertrain system, and a high-efficiency heat pump. The innovative “8-in-1” electric powertrain integrates the vehicle control unit, battery management system, power distribution unit, drive motor, electric motor controller, transmission, DC-DC converter, and the built-in charger.
This integration provides a system efficiency of up to 89% and incorporates driving and braking functions with an advanced transmission system controller for rapid response and full utilization of the electric motors. Regarding software, BYD has independently developed the BYD OS operating system, which decouples hardware from software, offering a top-tier collaboration system for high levels of intelligent and safe driving.
Safety is a top priority in all of BYD’s innovations. Taking advantage of the highly secure Blade Battery, its flat elongated design also enhances the structural rigidity of the e-Platform 3.0 in the event of a collision. As a result, the DOLPHIN, ATTO 3, SEAL, and SEAL U models have earned the highest 5-star rating from the independent safety testing organization EuroNCAP.
