With ideal proportions and design led by BYD’s Design Director Wolfgang Egger, the BYD ATTO 3 boasts a distinctive silhouette optimized for aerodynamic efficiency. Its drag coefficient of just 0.29Cd enhances vehicle stability at high speeds and reduces noise levels.
The ATTO 3 represents the next evolution of BYD’s Dragon Face design language, inspired by thousands of years of tradition. Its expressive lines feature elements drawn from ancient Chinese dragon mythology, such as LED headlights and horizontal aluminum grille accents symbolizing the mythical creature’s eyes and whiskers.
“BYD’s design is expressive and emotional while remaining clean,” explains Wolfgang Egger, Head of BYD’s Global Design Department. “When creating the BYD ATTO 3, we wanted to evoke a fresh, spacious, and youthful feel to attract young people and families. The inspiration came from dragons, hence the Dragon Face design language. The dragon’s whiskers, skin, and eyes are all elements reflected in the BYD ATTO 3.”
At 4,455 mm in length and 1,875 mm in width, with a 2,720 mm wheelbase, the BYD ATTO 3 provides ample roominess and comfort.
Keyless entry grants access to a spacious cabin featuring smart and innovative digital technology. The unique interior includes design details inspired by gym equipment, such as door handles resembling a barbell, a gear selector reminiscent of kettlebell weights, and air vents shaped like dumbbells.

The sport seats with ergonomic design and vegan leather upholstery include standard heated front seats with six-way electric adjustment for the driver and four-way for the passenger. The BYD ATTO 3 benefits from the groundbreaking Blade Battery, revolutionizing safety, durability, and performance in the EV segment. The Blade Battery passes the rigorous Nail Penetration Test, considered the “Everest” of battery safety tests, simulating short-circuit conditions that generate heat and potential fire. Unlike competitors, the Blade Battery remains fire-resistant during this test.
Made with Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) instead of cobalt, the Blade Battery offers superior thermal stability and safety compared to conventional lithium-ion batteries. This ultra-safe and durable battery delivers uncompromised performance, high power density, and exceptionally low energy consumption.
Powered by the BYD e-Platform 3.0, the ATTO 3 achieves the perfect balance of efficiency and intelligence. The integrated “8-in-1” electric drivetrain system combines the Vehicle Control Unit, Battery Management System, Power Distribution Unit, Drive Motor, Motor Controller, DC-DC management, and Onboard Charger for an impressive 89% system efficiency.
The standard high-efficiency heat pump improves thermal performance by up to 20% in winter. This innovative system recycles heat from the drivetrain, passenger cabin, and batteries, ensuring excellent range even in extreme temperatures.
With a 60.48 kWh Blade Battery and a permanent magnet synchronous motor, the BYD ATTO 3 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds. The motor delivers a maximum torque of 310 Nm and 150 kW/204 PS, ensuring seamless performance up to a top speed of 160 km/h. Three driving modes—Sport, Normal, and Economy—adapt to varying road conditions and driver preferences.
