BYD Partners with the International Fair Play Committee to Promote Sustainability and the Spirit of Sportsmanship

BYD, the global leader in New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturing, proudly announces its support for the International Fair Play Committee (CIFP). This collaboration highlights BYD’s commitment to promoting sustainability and the ethical principles of fair play in sports.

BYD’s involvement in the world of sports is well-established. The company was the Official Automotive Partner of the 2023 IHF Women’s Handball World Championship and is now the Official Partner of the UEFA European Football Championship 2024™, set to begin on June 14. Through these significant partnerships, BYD is dedicated to strengthening the spirit of sportsmanship, which emphasizes fairness, ethics, respect, and the sense of noble competition among competitors.

At a ceremony held in Budapest, representatives from BYD Hungary handed over the keys to two BYD ATTO 3 vehicles to Dr. Jenő Kamuti, President of the International Fair Play Committee, and Gábor Deregán, Executive Director of the Committee. These vehicles will play a crucial role in supporting the Committee’s activities during the busy period leading up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in July. The vehicles will also be used at various sports and social events, further promoting the vision of fair play.

“Fair play is a fundamental principle for all athletes, and we are proud to uphold it,” said Michael Shu, CEO of BYD Europe. “We believe that the values of fairness and respect in sports are universal, and our partnership with the CIFP underscores our commitment to these principles.”

Founded in Paris in 1963, the CIFP is headquartered at the “Maison du Sport Français.” Recognized by the International Olympic Committee and in collaboration with UNESCO, the CIFP has a longstanding dedication to promoting fair play and the spirit of sportsmanship worldwide.

BYD’s contribution to the International Fair Play Committee goes beyond providing vehicles. It is about fostering a sustainable future where the values of sportsmanship are upheld and promoted. The ATTO 3 vehicles, known for their environmental performance and innovative technology, symbolize BYD’s commitment to creating a greener world.

As the world’s leading NEV manufacturer, BYD continues to set benchmarks not only in the automotive industry but also in supporting global initiatives that promote ethical behavior and sustainability. The company looks forward to the positive impact of its partnership with the International Fair Play Committee in the coming months and years.
