BYD WINS THE “COMPANYBEST 2025” AWARD FROM AUTOBEST

BYD has been recognized as the best car manufacturer in the world by AUTOBEST, the leading independent automotive awards institution in Europe. The 31 journalists on the jury, representing millions of readers across the continent, unanimously voted to award BYD the “COMPANYBEST 2025” prize.

A year after the BYD DOLPHIN was named “Best Buy Car of Europe 2024” by AUTOBEST, this new accolade acknowledges BYD’s progress in the global automotive market. In its 30th anniversary year, BYD has reached several major milestones, including the production of its 10,000,000th new energy vehicle, an achievement no other brand has accomplished.

Dan Vardie, President of AUTOBEST, described the award as “independent recognition of the company’s outstanding performance.” He added, “There is no limit to BYD. It’s remarkable how the company is evolving, not only in terms of technology but also with new models and brands being created under the BYD umbrella.”

Stella Li, Executive President of BYD, stated, “We are thrilled to receive this recognition from the AUTOBEST jury. As BYD celebrates 30 years of leading change, we are more committed than ever to providing sustainable mobility to as many people as possible— with the clear goal of reducing the Earth’s temperature by one degree. We are still relatively new in Europe, but we are already seeing that when customers try our products, they love the advanced technologies they offer. Our goal is to reach even more consumers in 2025 and beyond.”

Rapidly Expanding European Model Range

BYD made its debut in Europe about two years ago, launching three new models simultaneously in the market. As 2024 comes to a close, BYD’s initial range has more than doubled, thanks to innovative, high-tech products such as the ATTO 3, DOLPHIN, and SEAL, along with its latest addition, the high-performance SEALION 7 SUV.

BYD has also responded to the changing needs of customers by introducing Super DM hybrid technology in Europe. Its first model, the SEAL U DM-i, can travel over 1,000 kilometers on a full charge and a full tank, making it an ideal choice for consumers who wish to experience electric driving daily, combined with the flexibility for long-distance travel.

All these new models are supported by advanced technologies, such as BYD’s renowned Blade Battery, which uses lithium iron phosphate for greater durability and safety compared to traditional batteries, while simultaneously maximizing space efficiency to improve vehicle range and cabin spaciousness.

BYD’s presence in Europe now spans more than 20 countries, and its sales network is set to exceed 500 points by the end of 2025. During the same period, BYD plans to open a factory in Europe, located in Hungary.

The “COMPANYBEST 2025” award from AUTOBEST will be officially presented during the 24th AUTOBEST ceremony, scheduled for May 2025.
