Designed to be BYD’s most affordable all-electric SUV in Europe, the new compact model achieved an overall score of 96% in independent testing by Green NCAP, which evaluates key aspects such as energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions Well-to-Wheel+. With a 177-horsepower (130kW) front-mounted engine, a weight just over 1,500kg, an official WLTP range of 312km, and a range of smart technologies, the vehicle impressed Green NCAP evaluators with its overall performance. “With an average score of 96%, the new compact BYD easily earns all five green stars,” the Green NCAP report states.
Testers also highlighted the excellent performance in the “Cold Environment Test,” where the standard heat pump of the ATTO 2 enhanced the air conditioning system and enabled faster cabin heating compared to other vehicles evaluated by Green NCAP.
The ATTO 2 is an urban B-SUV, strengthening BYD’s presence in one of Europe’s most popular vehicle segments. More details on the ATTO 2 and its top innovations will be revealed at its debut at the Brussels Motor Show in January, with sales commencing in European markets, including Greece, in the first quarter of 2025.
